Deerfield, Wisconsin

Wholly Rooted Farm is in a rural area outside of Deerfield, Wisconsin - population 2400-  in eastern Dane County. We are 20 minutes to the Madison airport, 45 minutes to the Milwaukee suburbs, and a few miles from the expressway. Our area is full of rolling hills (Drumlins), destination farms, vineyards, horse farms, dairy farms, small towns, county and state parks, and more.

Deerfield is a tiny town next to the 52-mile long Glacial Drumlin State Trail, a multi-use trail for hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and skiing. There is parking at the trail, with a few places to eat or get ice cream just down the road, including the Deerfield Coffeehouse and the Quilted Oak.  We have a few destination farms with fun things to do in all seasons including: Bittersweet Blessings Farm, Hinchley's Dairy Farm, Schuster's Farm,  We have a lot of local farmer's markets: Deerfield, Lake Mills, Marshall, Cottage Grove, and even farmstands including a big one in Cambridge and a wood fired pizza farm with live music.
