About Wholly Rooted Permaculture Farm

Wholly Rooted Farm is a few acres of beautiful land outside of Deerfield, Wisconsin. We moved to this place in September 2018, and became a United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary in 2020. We grow over 250 types of medicinal plants, including at-risk species, and we grow a lot of our own food using permaculture principles. Wholly Rooted is focused on utilizing permaculture principles in real-life applications that can make an impact and help us create a more regenerative future.  Social permaculture includes all of the things you do think about with permaculture - composting, rebuilding soil, regenerative practices - as well as social systems within our communities and cultures that can perpetuate or support embedded harmful mindsets and practices or can empower and embody progressive societal principles and equitable relationships for a healthier family and community.
