About Denise Cusack
I am a clinical herbalist, certified aromatherapist, certified permaculture designer (PDC) with a Permaculture and Advanced Social Systems Design Certificate (PDC), and have additional certificates in hydrosols, flower essences, first aid, mental health first aid, trauma, disaster response, regenerative agriculture, natural nutrition, nonprofit management, women's herbal health, and more. I have over 12 years of clinical experience in aromatherapy and herbalism. I like using the term Aromatic Herbalist or Phytotherapist, as I use aromatic plants in both herbalism and aromatherapy, in products and in the physical gardens and nature, as well as in food. I like to bake, grow food and herbs, work in my apothecary, distill my own hydrosols, spend time with my family, and volunteer for mutual aid and community action work. I am an artist, writer, maker, stitcher, grower, forager, baker, educator, fermenter, canner, mother, and many other things. We work to be more self-sufficient, reduce our waste, create renewable and regenerative processes, and live close to the land!
