HWB has been encouraging folks to grow herbs for their local chapters since 1999. Whether you are an herbal school, herb farmer, or individual with an herb garden, you can grow a pot, row, or bed for HWB! Growing and donating dried herbs can not only get herbs to free clinics and community education programs but also get seeds into the system so others can grow their own.
Wholly Rooted has been growing and donating medicinal herbs to HWB since 2017, and now teaches others how to grow, harvest, track, and donate into our system! We grow 2 acres of medicinal plants, and donate most (>90%) of what we grow to HWB every single year.

Some plants are grown to share, some for seed, some for educational purposes, and some to preserve. Crops vary year to year, and we plant and grown in a permaculture food forest system of perennials and annuals in no dig beds and surrounding annual foods.
