This digital mixed media print is of a Monarch caterpillar on Milkweed, also called Butterfly Weed. It is a native plant, and is found throughout the state of Wisconsin. Butterfly weed is an important native that supports monarch butterflies by providing nectar for adults, and acting as a host plant for caterpillars.
