Lavender and a Honeybee
This digital mixed media print is of Lavender. There are many types of lavender grown for smell and beauty. Lavandula angustifolia is a common type found in Wisconsin ornamental gardens, and it thrives in sunny and dry locations. Pollinators love it - and it attracts honeybees, hoverflies, bumblebees, and butterflies. Medicinally, lavender is a wonderful skin support used for sunburns and other general skin irritation, and is used culinarily as well as just to make things smell good.
